The Adelphi Orchestra continues its 2025–26 season with Grace & Elegance, a refined program of Classical and Romantic masterworks led by Principal Conductor Maestro Kyunghun Kim. Performances take place on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 7:30 PM at River Dell Middle School Auditorium in River Edge, New Jersey, and Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City.
This concert features acclaimed soloists Lanny Paykin, cello, Kathleen Butler-Hopkins, violin, and Francesca Silos, viola. The evening opens with Camille Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1, a virtuosic and dramatic work showcasing Paykin’s expressive artistry. Mozart’s beloved Sinfonia Concertante follows, highlighting the elegant musical dialogue between violin and viola, performed by Butler-Hopkins and Silos. The program concludes with Johannes Brahms’ Serenade No. 1, a warm and expansive orchestral work blending Classical clarity with Romantic richness.
Founded in 1953, the Adelphi Orchestra is a professional, nonprofit ensemble dedicated to artistic excellence, community engagement, and supporting outstanding musicians. Now in its 72nd season, the orchestra presents accessible, high-quality performances throughout Northern New Jersey and the Greater New York area.
