Presented by the Barrymore Film Center, the Adelphi Orchestra invites audiences to an unforgettable afternoon celebrating the music of Mozart. Under the baton of conductor Kyunghun Kim, the program opens with Mozart's sparkling Divertimento for Strings in D Major, K. 136, a youthful work brimming with energy, grace, and melodic charm. Internationally acclaimed violinist TianYou Ma then takes center stage in Mozart's dazzling Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major, the beloved "Turkish" Concerto, renowned for its elegance, virtuosity, and brilliance. The concert concludes with Symphony No. 40 in G Minor, one of Mozart's most powerful and emotionally compelling masterpieces, whose dramatic intensity and unforgettable melodies have captivated audiences for generations.
